Medal maestros
A SQUAD of 14 from Harborough are celebrating a bumper medal haul at this year's Leicestershire Age Groups and Championships.
The final five galas of the championships took place at Braunstone and saw Harborough raise their total of medal successes to 19, an immense result for the size of the squad.
There was just reward for Kirsty Haynes when she struck gold in the 13yrs 50 metres butterfly, in a club record time of 32.78secs.
The girls' 11/12yrs medley relay team had a superb swim to take bronze in a close finish. The happy foursome were Candice Hall, Olivia Weller, Chloe Waddington and Sophie Gerald. They were fifth in their freestyle
relay.
In the final Bagcat Awards covering the top ten in each age group, Harborough's Candice Hall was fourth in the 12yrs; Kirsty Haynes fourth in the 13yrs; and Harry Waddington eighth in the 14yrs.
The times also meant personal bests for the successful swimmers.
