Mixed teams had a Royal day
THE ROYALIST Netball Club 2nd Annual Mixed Netball Tournament took place at Harborough Leisure Centre on Sunday with teams entering from Harborough, Leicester and Coventry.
A day of fun competitive games were played which saw Pick and Mix take third place, narrowly missing out on the runners-up spot.
Captain Sophie Weston played well throughout the day at goal attack and her team mate Jason Rowley played equally well at the other end of the court at goal defence.
Skillspoint took second place and scooped the prize money.
Chris Weir worked hard at goal keeper and Vicki Holman had some exceptional games at goal attack, playing her part in gaining the runners up position.
Winners Growlers were undefeated throughout the day showing consistency and determination throughout.
Paul Leaver at goal shooter made things difficult for any of the defence and centre Carly Sperry shaped the play throughout.
A great day was had by all - and particular thanks go to Amanda Marshall and Emma Weir for organising the event, Harborough Leisure Centre for hosting, and Lee O'Dell at The Royalist for the after-play celebrations.
