Opportunity knocks for Desborough on big stage

DESBOROUGH will help fly the county flag in the semi-finals of a national competition.

They are through in the under-25s double-rink contest.

Northamptonshire representatives Desborough beat Norfolk 39-36 at St Neots and they will now face Spalding in the last four of the competition this weekend.

Results from the previous round (skips only, Desborough first): Rink one: C Cinato 23, W Wilgress 15.

Rink two: M Pownall 16, J Wilgress 21.
