Super revival sends firsts into Bowl final

A SPECTACULAR fightback sent Lutterworth 1st XV surging into the final of the Leicestershire County Bowl – and a showdown with local rivals Market Harborough.

What had appeared a lost semi-final cause at half-time finished with Lutterworth scoring 31 unanswered points for a resounding 34-12 victory over Vipers.

The try-scoring heroes for Lutterworth were Joe Sullivan (two), Luke Evans, James Lloyd and Tom Hooper, while Robin Eager slotted three conversions and a penalty.

Lutterworth 2nds were also among the tries – running in nine en route to a 53-0 demolition of their Vipers counterparts.

Scorers were Dave Stannard with three, Ben Husthwaite, Adam Wilson, Ben Wade, Mike Ingham and Luke Ball (two), who also succeeded with three of his conversion kicks.
