Three pupils from Spratton Hall have been selected to join the East Midlands School of Rugby training scheme run by the Northampton Saints.

Year 8 students Miles Budd, Calum Renshaw and Luke Fleming-Jones made it after impressing during a season-long assessment, nomination and then a one day selection event held at Moulton College.

The School of Rugby was established by the Rugby Football Union to identify and develop young players within the system of schools and clubs in England who have the potential to play at the highest levels of the game.

The coaches will now focus on developing individual core technical skills together with tactical appreciation of the game at Franklin’s Gardens, the home of Northampton Saints RFC.
