RIOTOUS farce Cash On Delivery is being performed in Lutterworth by Wycliffe Drama Group.

The play tells the story of Eric Swan (Russ Crook), who with his uncle George (Keith Parkin) and unbeknown to his wife Linda (Kate Gamble) is pocketing thousands in fraudulent benefits claims.

But when their lodger Norman Bassett (Paul Jackson) opens the door to Mr Jenkins, the DSS Inspector (Richard Holyoak), mayhem ensues.

Add to this undertaker (Andrew Spencer), bereavement counsellor (Becky Harwood), marriage guidance counsellor (Mary McDermott), Norman’s fiancée (Vicky Stirling), the ominous Ms Cowper (Amanda Holyoak) and a rather rebellious washing-machine and the show promises a fun evening out.

Cash on Delivery was first produced in London in September 1996, starring Bradley Walsh. Wycliffe Drama Group’s version is directed by Stuart Cross and produced by Lynn Jackson. It will be performed at Lutterworth College main hall from next Thursday to Saturday, April 28 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £6 for Thursday and £8 for Friday and Saturday from Aspect Stationers, Church Street,

Lutterworth, or Lynn
