Hundreds of people turned out for a fun day in memory of Claire Squires.
The event at Harborough Rugby Club last Saturday began with Mr Mudge the clown, followed by performances by Tracey Gardner (Zumba) and the Montsaye Dance Academy.
There was live music by The Smarties, The Knock, Jigged, and Bethia Mitchell, games and rides for children, as well as more than 20 stalls selling crafts, fabrics, jewellery and sweets. A ‘Build A Bear’ stall proved particularly popular as did a ‘water or wine’ tasting stall, which sold out in the first hour.
The raffle offered prizes including a Leicester Tigers Rugby shirt and a football shirt signed by Pele.
Money raised from the event will go to good causes supported by The Squires Effect charity.
Organisers thanked everyone who supported the event, including the team of volunteers who helped run it, all the music and entertainment acts, Rod and Anne Smeeton, Hope Against Cancer, Hog Roasts R Us, Jigsaw Events, Stephen Sanderson Transport, Local Skips, and Market Harborough Rugby Club.
